Life Photos of Foreign Beauties: Issue 173 - Amateur Model’s Styled Daily Moments

Copenhagen-based amateur model Emma Jensen, 29, stars in Issue 173 of Life Photos of Foreign Beauties, showcasing styled yet natural poses in her everyday surroundings. The series, shot by freelance photographer Lise Hansen, blends casual elegance with intentional framing—Jensen poses by her apartment window, at a neighborhood bakery, and along tree-lined streets, all while maintaining a relaxed, unforced aura.

Hansen focused on balancing "posed ease," guiding Jensen to strike subtle, lifelike stances. “We wanted it to feel like capturing a friend who knows how to look their best in daily life,” she said. Jensen, a part-time yoga instructor with a 172cm frame, wears soft linen blouses and high-waisted skirts from local brands like Copenhagen Casual, pairing them with minimal jewelry for a polished yet approachable look.

Key images include Jensen leaning against a pastel-colored storefront, one hand in her pocket and the other holding a paper bag of fresh pastries, her smile warm but deliberate. Another shot shows her seated on a park bench, legs crossed and a book resting on her lap, sunlight filtering through leaves to highlight her honey-blonde hair—posed, yet so natural it feels unplanned.

Jensen, who started experimenting with styled self-portraits on social media last year, says the shoot felt like an extension of her daily routine. “I love choosing outfits that make me feel confident, then finding pretty spots in my neighborhood to snap a photo,” she explained. The series avoids over-the-top styling, sticking to her go-to makeup: tinted moisturizer, mascara, and a hint of lip gloss.

Readers have praised the issue for its “aspirational yet achievable” vibe. Unlike rigid fashion shoots, Jensen’s poses—adjusting her scarf, pausing mid-step—feel like something anyone could replicate. “It’s about looking your best without losing that everyday charm,” Hansen noted. For Jensen, that’s the goal: “Beauty in daily life shouldn’t feel hard. It should feel like you.”
